FOR SALE: pfSense 10-port router / firewall on Check Point PL-10 (aka 5400) hardware.

With stock firmware, the device was marketed as a network security appliance. We repurposed it into a generalist network router/firewall running pfSense. To test the device and make port functions consistent with on-device labeling, we made a few changes to the initial pfSense configuration. A detailed configuration note will be provided to the buyer. Alternatively, the buyer could simply reset pfSense to its initial state.

In its factory configuration, the device ran on an Intel Pentium G3420 processor (3.20 GHz); we upgraded it to Intel Core i5-4570, which doubled the core count and added AES-NI support. There are 16 GB of RAM. The operating system is installed on a 100 GB IntelSSD. There are 10 Gigabit Ethernet ports handled by Intel i211 controllers.

The device is implemented in a rack-mountable form factor. Mounting brackets, although not shown in the photos, will be included with the device.

The device is in good physical condition (please review the photos). A power cable is included.
