For Yaesu FT-891 use only audio/PTT cable. This transceiver model does not expose the serial interface lines and instead implements serial CAT internally via its own USB connection.

Mini-DIN-6 audio/PTT cable is compatible with a wide range of transceivers and can be used alone with all models of interface. The use of Mini-DIN-8 serial cable requires Mobile 1.6+ in logic levels configuration.
