Full Description
This is a rare, vintage LaCie External SCSI CD-R Recordable drive. A true relic of the 1990s desktop publishing and data storage era, this unit features a high-quality Sony 2x6x internal recording mechanism housed in a rugged, ventilated metal LaCie enclosure.
The drive utilizes the iconic CD Caddy loading system, which was the gold standard for early professional-grade optical recording. The rear panel includes dual SCSI ports for daisy-chaining and manual SCSI ID selection.
Please note that while the unit powers on and the green status lights illuminate, it has not been tested for read/write functionality due to a lack of compatible legacy hardware and caddies. It is being sold in "as-is" condition for parts, repair, or as a period-correct prop for vintage tech enthusiasts. No cables or caddies are included unless pictured.
