Up for sale is a rare piece of computing history: a vintage IBM 3604 Model 6 Keyboard Display terminal. These units were widely used by bank tellers throughout the late 1970s and 1980s as part of the IBM 3600 finance system.Condition Details:

• Power Test: The unit has been plugged in and successfully powers on via the toggle switch.
• Display: When powered on, the display illuminates showing a solid orange rectangular glow/indicator light (see photos). No character data or further text has been tested due to a lack of the mainframe controller loop interface.
• Cosmetics: Overall in good vintage cosmetic condition with some expected minor scuffs and wear from a historical office environment. It includes a custom printed bank sticker on the left panel listing various codes (Utilities, Money Orders, Commission, etc.) which adds great historical character.
• Rear Panel: The original IBM serial tags, loop identification stickers, and safety plates are mostly intact. Wired for 115V.

Note: Due to the age of this machine and the inability to test it with a compatible IBM controller loop, it is being sold AS-IS for parts, restoration, or as a fantastic vintage technology display piece.
