- Listing is for one vintage Gridcase 1520 laptop computer being sold for parts or repair.
- Laptop powered on via 16v DC port, booted, and we were able to access directory of files, see video for demonstration and specs.
- Known issues are the LCD backlight not working with no response from the brightness slider, the spacebar feeling mushy, and the laptop did not come with a power supply/battery pack.
- Floppy drive is untested, all other keys aside from spacebar on keyboard feel normal but are not all tested for function, backlight randomly worked once in the middle of the dozen or so times we tested the laptop, the brightness slider worked normally in this case but the backlight stopped working again once the laptop was shut down and restarted and hasn't worked since.
- Laptop may have other issues than those above due to not being fully tested.
- There are witness marks on screws inside and out and some missing plastic from one of the rear screw covers that showed the laptop had been opened or worked on at some point before we took the cover off for photos, we did not attempt any repairs ourselves.
- Drive has a sticker on it inside the laptop that says 8/22, we don't know if this denotes a test or replacement as we don't have any history on the machine.
- Laptop has wear and tear and dust throughout along with some missing paint and grime in places, screen has some scratches, and there is label residue on the enter key.
- Serial numbers of internal parts documented and security seal #807174 added to outer case of laptop upon conclusion of testing, will also require signature on delivery.
