Price: US $159.00
Description: Up for sale is a genuinely restored Apple Macintosh LC II — the 68030 pizza box that ruled school computer labs in the early '90s. This one didn't just get dusted off; it got the full bench treatment. Service & Restoration Performed:
Logic board fully recapped — all original surface-mount electrolytics replaced (the notorious leakers that kill these boards)
Power supply recapped as well
One lifted pad repaired during the recap — works perfectly
Floppy drive serviced with the eject gear replaced (this is the classic failure on these drives — this one ejects reliably)
Case disassembled and retrobrighted — nice and cream-colored again. Honest note: there is still a faint shadow on the front bezel (visible in photos if you look 4MB RAM
VRAM upgrade installed
Original 80MB SCSI hard drive — works, boots, retains data
System 7.1 installed with a healthy dose of period-correct software loaded on it
Boots to a happy Mac, chimes, runs System 7.1 as shown in the photos. This machine is ready to display or to be a daily-driver retro rig.
What you should know (please read): This is a 30+ year-old computer. It works today, but no warranty is expressed or implied on vintage electronics — sold as-is.Vintage hard drives are mechanical devices; consider the included 80MB drive a working bonus rather than a long-term guarantee (BlueSCSI/ZuluSCSI adapters drop right in if you ever want modern reliability). Monitor, keyboard, and mouse are not included. I try very hard to ensure these machines arrive safely so I will be sure to take every precaution I can when shipping.
