Requires 2 AA batteries and 1 CR2032 backup battery. Neither are included.
I was able to power it on and test using the stylus as well as the back light and that works fine. I didn't test putting in any cards or any accessories.
The card release button is a bit stuck so you have to push that and then actually pull the dummy card out of the side with your fingers at the same time.If you have any questions please let me know.
