Up for sale is a very nicely restored and upgraded Macintosh II. The case itself is in decent shape for its age. It is has been slightly yellowed over the years due to its age and exposure. It does have many scuffs, scratches, and stains all around the plastic and metal shielding. The top case has received some damage. The left lift tab has broken off and plastic around it has been chipped away. The right lift tab has some chipped plastic near it. The front tabs had one broken (all this is photographed). The case still stays shut, unless you try to pick it up from the top left side. I have carefully cleaned this machine inside and out. The speaker plays sound clear and loud. The power switch has been disassembled and cleaned to provide better contact and springiness. The power supply has been fully recapped, voltage tested, cleaned throughly, and I replaced the old noisy fan with a new Noctua one. The floppy disk drives have been tested to read/write/format. Their old grimy eject gears have been replaced with a new 3D printed ones. The stock hard drive has been replaced with a ZuluSCSI compact sporting 3.5GB of space. The SD has been loaded with System 7.5.5 and many applications! The motherboard is very clean and I have replaced all capacitors on the board with new Axial ones. The PRAM batteries have been replaced with a new ones and the machine keeps track of time. The memory has been completely maxed out with eight sticks of 1MB SIMMs, totaling up to 8MB. The DayStar accelerator has been throughly tested and doubles the speed of the old processor. Even has the original “powered by DayStar Digital” sticker on the front.
