Price: US $84.49
Please make sure you read this entire listing for important information pertaining to this vintage NOS keyboard. Thank you.
This sale is for one new Professional Message Center keyboard by Cardinal Technologies, Inc. The company was created in the 1980s by a group of former RCA executives. It is vintage new old stock from 1988 and comes in its original box. It also comes with a power supply cord, one modular telephone cable with jack plugs, and one video cable that has RCA phono plugs. All of the components are also new old stock that were included with the keyboard. Its original manual is included. The keys each have a dual-spring mechanism in them. It is a linear keyboard and not clicky.
  • This vintage new old stock keyboard will need three separately purchased additional items: A CRT TV/monitor, an RS232 25-pin wi-fi adapter, and a phono cable adapter to connect to modern PCs or external modems. These three items are not part of this listing and will need to be purchased separately. I don\'t have them.

Here is a positive response from a knowledgeable repeat customer who purchased one of these keyboards from me:
\"Quickly shipped. Packed well. Works fine. Looks Great. Recommended A+\"
The same kind and helpful customer also passed along the following info that could be beneficial for potential buyers of this item:
\"The CP600 is not a normal terminal. It is sort of an old school method of connecting to old dial-up services like CompuServe and Genie.

It can be used as a terminal by connecting an RS-232 cable to a PC or external modem. It does emulate a VT52 terminal in one of the menus. The paper manual included with the keyboard explains how it works.

It does connect to a composite video monitor/jack using a single RCA connector. The keyboard can be switched between 40 and 80 columns. The pictures I\'ve included are in 40 column mode. 80 is really small and distorted on my 9\" monitor. It may look better on a larger screen.
