- We purchased directly from Fujitsu distribution for high-end computer production .
- Removed by our service dept decades ago during a routine upgrade and has been in protected storage since.
- These drives had relatively little use — we had an aggressive upgrade program so most drives were upgraded after only 12 to 24 months. The removed drives have been stored undisturbed for decades.
- Great choice for a very special early 90's period-accurate retro system.
- This is a nice size because it is within certain capacity limits of early vintage BIOS and O/S.
- No unusual noises, very quiet.
- FULLY TESTED:
- Format refreshed at lowest post-factory level accessible.
- Full surface scan using SpinRite, bad spots locked out.
- Single large partition created.
- Another full surface scan using scandisk (see screen capture).
- Chkdsk shows 155K bad sectors (only 0.03% of total surface).
- Fresh install of MS-DOS 6.22.
- Should boot right up in any compatible system.
- Or, reformat, repartition and install whatever O/S you prefer.
- Clean, beautiful physical and cosmetic condition (see photos).
- The drive itself is a rare vintage collector's item.
You will receive exactly the item you see in the photos.
