Here's why:1. One of only 11,601 20th Anniversary Macintoshever made available for sale in the 1997-1998 period,only infive countries: the USA, Japan, France, Germany, and the UK.The New York Times aptly described it as a “Ferrari-on-a-desktop,”highlighting its luxurious and avant-garde design.
2. Fully functional - watch the video. With fantastic premium soundfromthe BOSE speakers.I have other clips if you want to hear more.Remember, this was 1997, no other computer came even closeto this quality of sound and video.
3. First product Jony Ive designed for Apple.Ive,Apple's Head of Design, would go on to designthe iPod,the iPhone, and so many other Apple iconic products.
4. Next to the main console, the heavy BOSE Subwoofer (weighs 11 lbs!!),and the keyboard,which is complete, also included isa functioning remoteso you don't even have to get upto change the song or clip or the volume ;)
5. Original 340 pages clean manual is included as well(weighs 2 lbs!)
6. Also included an UNIQUE ITEM, the 20th AnniversaryMacintosh promo sheet. This never ever comes up on !And it's not just a sheet of paper, no, in the high qualityspirit of the whole TAM ensemble the paper is thickand transparent. I'd call it more sturdy than glossy paperbut transparent. Such a promo sheet must have cost Applea lot of money. But it served the purpose of making the TAMa truly unique product, design, and experience.

8. Also included is the huge 20th Anniversary Macintoshposter: it's 38" x 26"!!!It's shown unfolded and folded.Folded flat is howit is supposed to be - it's the original shape for the poster.
9. Two flaws for this TAM: at the corner at the top of the leftspeaker a tiny little bit of the fabric is no longer present,the CD door doesn't open automatically but requiresa gently push at the bottom of the door.See pictures for detailed analysis. Should this be an issuefor you, then don't buy this ensemble!
10. Flaws this TAM does NOT have,and most TAMs out therefor sale often have, are:a) NO broken or cracked "umbilical" cable at the back of the TAM.A cracked cable is THE NUMBER ONE flaw of almostall TAMs on sold or for sale. Check it out! Most sellerswill not mention it, even not show it, or have the picture froman angle you can't really assess or easily see.Not here!This well known and very common flaw is NOT PRESENTin this TAM. It also shows how well cared for this TAM is!b) Another common and well-known flaw, impossible to detectas a buyer without video and when not mentioned or tested,is the presence of 'speaker buzz' - disturbing sound.Again, NOT with this machine.
