Description

An extraordinary piece of computing ephemera and Apple history.

Up for sale is an incredibly scarce, original 1984 regional corporate chapter audio cassette capturing an intimate, 1-hour-plus talk by Steve Wozniak titled "MAKING APPLE & DOING PRANKS."

This historic address was delivered exclusively to members of the Apple Employees Association (A.E.A.) at OMSI on June 21, 1984. Given the internal corporate distribution of these regional A.E.A. chapters, very few of these cassettes were ever produced, and surviving physical copies are virtually nonexistent in the wild. This exact speech is a documented piece of tech history, sharing its footprint with the official indexing records of the Computer History Museum (CHM) Catalog under item ID 102742813.

Audio Content Includes:

• The Introduction: Hosted and introduced by former HP manager Stan Mintz.

• The "Computer Abuse" Days: Wozniak recounting his early school/college probation for consuming excess computing time.

• The TV Jammer Prank: A detailed, hilarious breakdown of how Wozniak engineered an electronic TV jammer to trick his college dorm mates.

• The Birth of Apple: First-hand technical recollections of engineering the Apple I and Apple II, alongside his passion for the Homebrew Computer Club.

A.E.A at OMSI, June 21, 1984.
