These are new old stock with the original Tripp Lite molded connectors and the original Tripp Lite packaging. The bags carry the classic Tripp Lite branding and the Chicago address, from before Eaton acquired the company and moved the line to "Eaton Tripp Lite Series" branding. A number of buyers specifically seek out this earlier production and prefer the original molded ends, and stock like this only gets scarcer as it clears out of warehouses.

Why Yellow Matters

Black power jumpers are everywhere. Colored ones exist for a specific reason, and if you work in a rack you already know it.

• A feed and B feed at a glance. Color code one PDU leg yellow and the other something else, and you can tell instantly whether a server is actually dual-fed or whether somebody plugged both cords into the same strip.
• Tracing a circuit without a flashlight and a tug test. In a dense cabinet, following a black cord through a bundle is miserable. Following a yellow one is not.
• Marking what must not be unplugged. Plenty of shops reserve a color for critical loads so nobody pulls the wrong cord during a change window.
• Audit and documentation. Color-coded power makes a cabinet photo self-documenting.

Why These

• 14 AWG, not the thin stuff. This is the heavy-duty version rated for a full 15 amps. The flimsy 18 AWG jumpers that ship in the box with equipment are not the same thing, and they are the ones that get warm in a dense cabinet.
• Lifetime warranty. Tripp Lite backs these for life, printed right on the package.
• Yellow is harder to find than black. The colored variants are made in smaller runs and turn up far less often, especially sealed.
• New old stock, original Tripp Lite production. Pre-Eaton branding and connectors, sealed since the factory.
• Six feet is the useful length. Long enough to reach across a cabinet or up to a different RU, short enough not to leave a service loop you have to manage.
• 250V rated. Fine on 120V, and equally at home on a 208V or 240V rack PDU.

Before You Buy

• Check your connector direction. C14 male plugs into the PDU or UPS outlet. C13 female goes to the device. This is the standard server jumper orientation, not a C13 to C13 or C14 to C14 cord.
• It is a jumper, not a wall cord. There is no NEMA wall plug on either end. It connects IEC to IEC.
• The yellow is on the connectors. The cord jacket itself is black, as shown on the package.
• Sold as-is with no returns. Both are new and sealed, but please ask any questions before buying.
