It is specifically designed for use with networking hardware employing mini-LC SFP transceivers, such as the Brocade FC8-64 High Density 64-port Fibre Channel Blade.
This cable utilizes Mini-LC to LC connectors and features OM3 Laser-Optimized Multimode Fiber (LOMMF) technology. With a core diameter of 50/125um, it provides nearly four times the bandwidth over conventional 62.5um multimode fiber, while delivering performance that rivals Singlemode cable, all at a reduced cost.
The Tripp Lite N836-02M Fiber MMF Mini-LC/LC 10G OM3 Duplex Cable allows for 10Gb serial transmission over extended distances in the 850nm wavelength window. This is made possible by low-cost Vertical Cavity Surface Emitting Lasers (VCSELs), enabling a cost-effective, high-bandwidth solution for LANs, SANs, and high-speed parallel interconnects in head-ends, central offices, and data centers.
