Used this eGPU with my 2018 MacBook Pro to offload GPU tasks and keep the MBP running cooler and quieter in my audio studio. Did a fantastic job! Picked up a new Mac and don't use the MBP/eGPU combo anymore. The eGPU is super quiet. Also a great upgrade for the 2018 and newer Mac minis and any Mac without dedicated graphics.
