Original Silicon Graphics IndyBag, the soft-sided shoulder bag SGI offered for the Indy workstation. SGI marketed it as a way to carry an Indy and an Indy Presenter flat panel as carry-on luggage. It's rarely seen for sale.

Made for SGI by West Ridge Designs of Portland, Oregon (maker's label inside). Heavy-duty blue nylon with a navy front panel and embroidered INDY logo and SiliconGraphics wordmark. Even setting the SGI branding aside, it's a well-made bag, with good hardware throughout.

HARDWARE

  • YKK zippers throughout, all working smoothly, with paracord-style pull loops
  • ITW Nexus TSR 200 buckles on the shoulder strap and bag
  • Leather-wrapped carry handle with snap closure

MAIN COMPARTMENT

  • Exterior: 22 x 16 in, 5.5 in deep (8 in including the front pocket)
  • Interior: 21 x 15 x 4 in
  • A divider splits it into a main section about 17 in wide and a side section about 3-4 in wide
  • Padded on the bottom, the sides and the outward-facing panel
  • Black nylon lining, a clear ID card window and the maker's label inside

FRONT POCKET

  • Exterior: 22 x 10 x 3 in
  • Interior: 21 x 10.5 x 2.5 in
  • Padded on the bottom, the sides and the front
  • Sized for a full-size keyboard

SHOULDER STRAP

  • Detachable and adjustable, with a padded shoulder section
  • 40 in buckle to buckle at its current setting

CONDITION

  • Excellent overall. The bag has been cleaned, and all zippers, buckles and straps work.
  • One larger faint stain on the back panel. It's much lighter after cleaning but still visible (see the close-up photo).
  • A couple of smaller spots that are hard to see
