Important Notes for Customers

1. Heat Notice:SFP-10G-T modules typically run hot (50-60°C). This isnormalfor copper PHY-based transceivers. Do not install them next to each other (leave a gap) if your switch has poor airflow.

2. Cable Requirement:For stable 10G speeds, youMUSTuse Cat6a (Shielded recommended) or Cat7 cables. Using Cat5e or Cat6 will result in link errors or failure to negotiate 10G.

3. Auto-Negotiation:Some older switches (e.g., early Cisco Nexus or certain Intel NICs) may require manual setting of speed/duplex or enabling "unsupported transceiver" commands.

4. Not for 1G only switches:Please ensure your SFP+ cage supports 10G, not just 1G (GLC-T).

Q: Is this compatible with my switch?

Q: The module gets very hot. Is that normal?
A:Yes. 10G-T modules run hot. Ensure good airflow around the switch.

Q: Link is only 1G, not 10G.
A:Check: 1) Cable is Cat6a/Cat7, 2) Length within spec, 3) Both devices support 10G.

Q: Module is not recognized.
A:Try: 1) Reseat the module, 2) Test another SFP+ port, 3) Ensure your switch supports copper SFP+ modules.
