These adapters are new. They were part of a house fire, and yet the adapters are undamaged in their original packaging. If you are familiar with this product you know that the units inside are not damaged .
The RATOC U2SCX USB 2.0 to Ultra SCSI Converter is one of the few commercially produced adapters that allows legacy SCSI devices to be connected directly to a USB-equipped computer. It was especially popular for connecting vintage scanners, MO drives, Zip/Jaz drives, CD-ROMs, and SCSI hard drives to modern PCs and Macs.
Features
- Converts Ultra SCSI (50-pin HD) devices to USB
- Supports both USB 2.0 High-Speed and USB 1.1 ports
- Hot-pluggable (connect/disconnect without rebooting)
- Works with:
- SCSI hard drives
- MO drives
- Zip and Jaz drives
- CD-ROM and CD-R/RW drives
- DVD-RAM/ROM/RW drives
- Tape drives
- Flatbed and film scanners
- Two operating modes:
- USB Mass Storage Mode for storage devices
- SCSI Emulation Mode for scanners and specialized SCSI peripherals
- Can support up to 7 SCSI devices in a daisy chain under Windows when using the RATOC driver.

Important Limitations
- The adapter relies on SCSI Termination Power (TERMPWR) from the attached device. Some older devices do not provide enough power, requiring an external 5V adapter.
- Under macOS, only one SCSI device can be attached at a time; daisy-chaining is not supported.
- Some very old or unusual SCSI devices may not be recognized, and specialized software such as VueScan is often needed for vintage scanners.
Connector Type
The U2SCX plugs directly into a SCSI device with a:

If your device uses a different connector (Centronics 50, DB25, or 68-pin HD), you'll need an appropriate SCSI adapter cable or converter.
If you tell me which SCSI device you want to connect (scanner, hard drive, MO drive, tape drive, LS-120/240 setup, etc.), I can tell you exactly what additional cables or adapters are required.
