Never used (old stock) cable for connecting Thomson CM36512 VI color RGB & composite monitors to the Commodore 64 or Commodore 128 computers. Not for split chroma/luma inputs. The main distinguishing features of this odd-looking cable is that there is a flip flop switch box for selecting modes.Instructions included with cable. However the included instructions reference the Thomson CM36512 VI instruction manual significantly. If you have lost the manual for your Thomson CM36512 VI monitor you might still be able to figure out how to use this cable but it might be more difficult.Cable has a 5-pin DIN connector and 9-pin male "D" connector on the computer end. On the monitor end it has another 9-pin male "D" connector for the RGB input AND two RCA-type connectors for the audio and video inputs. Cable does not support split chroma & luma.So, here is your chance to own a piece of history. Especially if you have one of the aforementioned Thomson CM36512 VI color monitors. If you only have a regular composite color monitor or television you should still be able to use this cable but only for standard 40-column color. The RGB (80 column) capability of this monitor cable likely will not work on other RGB monitors. Tip: If you plan to use this cable without using the RGB connectors you may want to put a piece of scotch tape over the RGB connectors to keep the dust out of them.
