However, the rew, advance and play functions will not advance a cassette tape. When you push these buttons, the machine makes a sound like it is trying to turn but doesn't turn. These machines are belt drive so it could be as simple as the belt slipped off or it may need a replacement belt.
You won't be disappointed with the condition of the recorder and the box. It is super Nice. There is no Manual included.
