This high quality device connects your vintage BBC Microcomputer's RS423 port to a PC's USB port.
This will allow you to transfer files from your PC to the Beeb and vice versa at lightning speeds, take control of the Beeb from the PC (using suitable, freely downloadable software) and more.
Designed and built in the UK, it comes with approximately 500mm cable terminated with a 5-pin "domino" DIN plug for the BBC end, and a mini-USB socket at the other end of the module to receive a standard USB cable from the PC.
The cable is attached to the adapter by a small plug, and there is a row of solder pads at the standard 0.1" pitch which duplicate all signals. This makes hardwiring inside the Beeb, is so wished, easy.
The adaptor works with the full range of speeds available on the RS423 port, including 19200 baud.
