Made from aspecial high temperature copper-alloy with a softening point of wellabove 500°C, and with much-increased thermal conductivity thesecopper Volcano heater blocks are perfect for high temperatureapplications, while working perfectly with everyday filaments likePLA, ABS and PETg.
In addition to high temperatureperformance these Volcano heater blocks have an advanced nickel basedplating, considerably reducing the adhesion of plastic to the nozzle.This is great for everyday filaments keeping things clean and shiny,but is particularly important at temperatures above 300°C where asilicone sock can't be used.Copper has more than 3x the thermalconductivity of brass, and the copper alloy we use has been hardenedand treated to reduce the oxidation that occurs in copper at hightemperatures. The higher thermal conductivity will also slightlyincrease your heat-up times, and can provide tighter temperaturecontrol.This copper-alloy is very temperatureresilient, and will not start to soften or anneal until way beyond500°C, making it perfect for the high-temperature printing thatother Volcano heater blocks can't handle.Features:
