This is a Pioneer DVR-XD10 DVD CD Burner Writer Portable Drive 8x USB 2.0 with USB cord that supplies power and data to the drive. There is also a 5v DC outlet/plug in the back, but this cord is NOT included. New old stock without original packaging. This was part of an unused Military kit, packed with other items. May have a few light scuffs from storage. No drivers or software - uses built in drivers on Windows PC.

Some buyers of this drive have reported issues when burning a disc. This is unrelated to the function of the drive itself, but a compatibility issue. As with many devices, it may not be work with the exact computer configuration that you have........especially when burning a disc, as opposed to just playing a disc. Be sure to use both usb plugs to provide full power.

This has be tested with a PC using Windows 10 using the following procedure.

-Plug both ends of the USB to provide full power.

-Open drive and insert disc.

-Use IMGBURN software.

-Write file to the blank disc.

Someone recommended the free software called ImgBurn. That software recognized the DVR, and seemed to work fine. Has only been tested with Windows 10. Has NOT been tested with any other operating system, so compatibility is unknown. For more info see Pioneer's web site.
