Factory harness for PS-4122-1 is listed as: - 24-pin ATX
- 4+4 CPU
- one 12-pin PCIe GPU cable
- 3× SATA
No extra 8-pin GPU leads on the stock loom. That single 12-pin lead is the high-density GPU cable HP used so the 45L could feed a factory 40-series / 12VHPWR-class card from one plug. Some templates call it “16 Pin PCIe” because sellers lump 12-pin and 12+4 / 12VHPWR together. Early 45L configs (RTX 3070 Ti era) used NVIDIA’s older 12-pin only socket and bundled a 12-pin → 2× 8-pin adapter. Later 1200 W ATX 3.0 machines were sold as 12VHPWR. Same PSU family, so the plug on a given unit can be either: - 12-pin only (no 4 sense pins) — fits 30-series FE and some OEM HP cards
- 16-pin 12VHPWR (12+4) — native for 4080/4090-class cards
You cannot tell from the model number alone. Count the pins on the plug in your hand.
