For sale is a complete starter set of QBus boards to build a PDP-11/03 compatible system. This board set has been repaired and reconfigured, and is fully tested and working -- functionality is confirmed in a test backplane running DEC\'s XXDP diagnostics package on the system itself.
Included in this listing are:
- DEC LSI-11/2 KD11-HA processor board (M7270 handle number)
- DEC MSV11-DD 32KW (64KB) MOS memory (M8045 handle number)
- DEC DLV11-J quad serial line unit/SLU (M8043 handle number)
- Two new DLVDB25 serial cables for the DLV11-J (also available on separate items)
Together, this three-board set provides all you need for a basic PDP-11/03 setup: the MSV11-DD MOS memory board provides all of the RAM addressable on the LSI-11/2 CPU, the DLV11-J provides a serial console interface compatible with all DEC PDP-11 software, and a second channel on the DLV11-J can be used for TU58 tape emulation (several emulators exist, including hardware models, but we use AK6DN\'s tu58em, which is open source and freely available online).
Note that the LSI-11/2 CPU board supports a floating point option, which is not included in this listing.This board set was booted into XXDP using an Emulex UC07 MSCP SCSI interface, and the XXDP tests for the LSI-11/2 CPU board were run, followed by several hours of the QBus MOS memory exerciser. TU58 emulation was tested under XXDP by booting emulated tape images using tu58em, and by interacting with the emulated tape drive from XXDP booted off of the SCSI controller.
