Up for sale is an Oracle ZFS Storage ZS3-4 Enterprise Storage Appliance Controller removed from the University of Colorado data center.

This is a complete, high-end enterprise storage controller originally designed for mission-critical Oracle ZFS Storage Appliance deployments. The system is heavily configured with four Intel Xeon E7 processors, 1TB of ECC Registered memory, Oracle Memory Riser V2 modules, redundant power supplies, multiple enterprise PCIe expansion cards, and integrated Oracle management hardware.

Unlike many units currently available, this controller is substantially populated with processors, memory, risers, and expansion cards, making it an excellent replacement unit, donor system, laboratory server, virtualization platform, or source for valuable Oracle enterprise components.

The unit was removed from service approximately 10 years ago while still operational. It has been stored indoors since decommissioning.

The server has been plugged in and powers on successfully. No additional testing has been performed due to the specialized Oracle storage environment required to fully configure and test the appliance.

The interior is exceptionally clean and shows no signs of abuse or modification.
