The Netgear Nighthawk RS150 is a BE5000 dual-band WiFi 7 router built to bring next-generation wireless speed and lower latency to apartments and mid-sized homes, delivering combined throughput of up to 5 Gbps for 4K streaming, video conferencing, online gaming, and busy smart home networks. Its upright black tower design stands roughly 9.8 inches tall and houses three high-performance internal antennas with high-power amplifiers, producing 360 degree coverage of up to 2,250 square feet without a cluster of external antennas. WiFi 7 technologies including Multi-Link Operation, 4K QAM, and wider channel support raise efficiency and responsiveness, while backward compatibility keeps older WiFi 6, WiFi 5, and earlier devices connected without extra configuration. The 5 GHz band runs a 3x3 configuration rated at up to 4.3 Gbps and the 2.4 GHz band runs 2x2 at up to 0.7 Gbps, and the router handles up to 80 connected devices at once. A 2.5 Gbps internet port unlocks multi-gig broadband plans beyond the traditional gigabit ceiling, and three Gigabit Ethernet LAN ports provide wired connections for desktops, consoles, streaming boxes, or a network switch. A quad-core 2.0GHz processor keeps traffic moving smoothly under heavy load, and the Nighthawk app for iOS and Android handles setup, speed tests, guest networks, parental controls, and firmware updates from a phone. NETGEAR Armor adds network security and VPN protection, WPA3 encryption secures every connection, and the router works with any internet provider and standard cable or fiber modem.
