CONDITION & TESTING
The smartpen was lightly used and worked properly when last used, including Bluetooth connectivity, handwriting synchronization, and associated app features.
Recently tested with the following results:
* Successfully charged to a solid green indicator light
* Powers on and off normally using the twist mechanism
* Writes smoothly without skipping
* Recognizes Livescribe notebook controls, confirmed by an audible tick and brief green indicator-light flash
The pen has cosmetic scratches consistent with previous use.
Original stylus cap is included but fits loosely.
DIGITAL HANDWRITING & AUDIO RECORDING FEATURES
The Livescribe 3 was designed to digitally capture handwritten notes and create synchronized audio recordings called Pencasts.
Using compatible Livescribe notebooks, users could tap the printed recording controls to start and stop audio recordings through the Livescribe+ app on a connected smartphone or tablet.
The app synchronized handwritten notes with recorded audio, allowing users to revisit what was being discussed when specific notes were written.
The pen can also capture handwritten notes while disconnected from a mobile device and synchronize them later.
These features worked during previous personal use but have not been recently retested. Audio recording and playback require compatible software and a connected mobile device.
SOFTWARE & COMPATIBILITY
The smartpen was previously used successfully with the Livescribe+ application.
Bluetooth connectivity, digital synchronization, and audio functions have not been recently retested.
The original Livescribe+ iOS application is no longer available for download through the Apple App Store. Buyers should verify software compatibility with their intended devices before purchasing.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
All included notebooks and ink refills are genuine Livescribe products.
The four unused ink refills are older stock and have not been individually tested.
