The Recommended Minimum System Requirements, here, should allow even someone fairly new to installing Ubuntu or Linux to easily install a usable system with enough room to be comfortable. A good "rule of thumb" is that machines that could run XP, Vista, Windows 7 or x86 OS X will almost always be a lot faster with Ubuntu even if they are lower-spec than described below. Simply try Ubuntu as a Live Boot to check if the hardware works.

The 8 Gig USB, is just a plain USB 2.0 drive, a little slower than modern USB's, but works just fine, and is reliable. Why pay more than you have too!
We also offer this product in a premium edition. The premium USB is a 32 Gig, Teamgroup Chessmaster C175 3.2 version. It is very fast and reliable. And comes with a Lifetime warranty from Teamgroup, and is brand new sealed before we load your operating systems on it. There is a decent amount of room left over on the drive. For the premium USB orders, if you see some of my other sales of Linux software, all you have to do is message me, and tell me the other OS's you want loaded in the free space, and I will load it for you free of charge! All it cost you was taking the time to actually read my listing, Imagine that. It allows you to test drive the system, and see how your hardware will work out, before being committed to a full installation. Please Note:
While it is possible to boot Live to a Operating System from a Disc, keep in mind that when CD technology was invented, software & Operating Systems were very small. For example Win98 fit on a single CD. Now we have operating Systems that are upwards of 8 GIGs in size before install. These Larger operating systems will take longer to load on a disc than a USB. If you just want an installer at a economy price, we highly recommend one of our Discs, they are perfectly functional, and reliable. Without the risk of data corruption. If you are wanting faster performance with the Live Boot, we would suggest one of our USBs. Both our USB's and DVD's live boot, & install, as long as the releases supports it.
Persistent storage
With persistent storage possible on some of these operating systems,
