Which version do I need?
Most laser software is tied to very specific types of machines. LightBurn is a bit more flexible, and has support for three different \"classes\" of laser controllers - GCode, DSP, and Galvo. Note that all types are supported by the trial version of LightBurn.

G-CODE Version
Support Machines: Master/XTool D1/FoxAlien/XCarve/Shapeoko
Commonly used in 3D printers, home-built CNC machines and kit-style or DIY lasers;g-code controllers use a text based command format called g-code, and are often open source hardware and firmwar.
They are usually a bare board, and often used in open-frame diode lasers;They are also often used as replacements for the stock controller in the common K40 laser
This is a LightBurn software license key for users with GCode controllers (DIY / hobby).
It is compatible with all Monport & Omtech 40W k40/k40+ CO2 laser machines.
Galvo lasers, also commonly called fiber lasers, use a fixed scanning head mounted to an arm, and project the beam from above. They are used for high-speed marking or engraving, and may have a fiber laser source for metals, or a CO2 laser source for marking woods
It is compatible with all Monport & Omtech Fiber laser machines.
DSP Version
This is a LightBurn software license key for users with DSP controllers.This key also supports all GCode-based devices.
It is compatible with all Monport & Omtech CO2 laser machines of 50W and up.
The DSP version supports the following controllers:
- Ruida (RDC6442G / S, RDC6445, RDC6332G,RDC6344S,RDLC-320, RDLC-220)
- Trocen Anywells AWC 708c Lite and AWC 608
- LightObject R5-DSP, X7-DSP, and LO-E5
