These 68-pin 9GB (actually 9.1GB but often just referred to as '9 gigabyte') hard disk drives were designed for use in AIX Power Series Servers and Workstations (AIX-based), also used in very high-end PC systems (Windows-based).
These were manufactured by IBM to the highest quality standards. These drives are brand new and still sealed in static bags, with desiccant agent. Moreover, they were stored in a climate-controlled datacenter for their entire lives.
These drives were all purchased together as spares, all were manufactured in the same month, and their serial numbers are close together. The model number is DNES-309170 but they are also known by their IBM Part Number 25L1861 or FRU (Field Replacement Unit) number of 25L3101.
These drives are bullet-proof, and were manufactured at a time when hard drives of this size would sell for thousands of dollars.
If you have an older system or are looking for a spare drive to keep on hand for an emergency replacement, this is the perfect solution. All three drives have zero hours of runtime!
