IBM 7042-CR7 Rack Mounted Hardware Management Console
BM 7042-CR7 Hardware Management Console (HMC) is a dedicated-function appliance used to manage IBM i, AIX and Linux system resources running on Power9, Power8, Power7, Power6 and Power5 System service functions, logical partitions (LPARs), dynamic resource allocation and purchase Capacity on Demand Upgrades. The IBM 7042-CR7 HMC can manage multiple physically or logically (over a LAN) attached partitions and different Power Systems generations and OS400 Versions simultaneously, and can be physically attached to a server or logically attached over a LAN.
