Original IBM Monochrome Display and Printer Adapter (MDA), marked 1501985 XM on the component side and 1501986 on the reverse. This vintage 8-bit ISA expansion card combines monochrome video output and a parallel printer interface for early IBM personal computers.
Intended for systems such as the IBM PC 5150 and PC/XT 5160, the card uses a Motorola MC6845P CRT controller and 4 KB of display memory. It supports an 80-column by 25-row monochrome text display. The nine-pin female display connector is for a compatible MDA monitor, such as the IBM 5151. The 25-pin female DB25 connector provides the parallel printer connection.
A useful original IBM component for vintage computer restoration, PC/XT collecting, spare inventory, or a repair project. This is a text-display adapter requiring compatible vintage hardware.
Condition: Untested. Neither the video output nor the printer port has been functionally verified, and operation is unknown. There is dust, cosmetic wear, wear on the edge contacts, and tarnishing on the metal hardware. Please examine all photographs for the physical condition and board markings.
Includes one adapter card with its mounting bracket, exactly as pictured. No computer, monitor, printer, cables, software, or original packaging is included. Thirty-day returns are offered under the listing's return policy.
