HighPoint SSD7101A-1 PCIe 3.0 x16 4-Port M.2 NVMe RAID Controller — Used
Offered for sale is a used HighPoint Technologies SSD7101A-1 M.2 NVMe RAID controller card. This is an internal PCI Express expansion card designed to accommodate up to four M.2 NVMe solid-state drives, allowing multiple drives to be installed through a single PCIe expansion slot.
The item has been previously used but shows very little cosmetic wear associated with normal use and handling. It is fully operational and functions as intended. Very clean and pure heat sink material.
The SSD7101A-1 uses a PCIe 3.0 x16 host interface, with four dedicated PCIe lanes available to each installed SSD. Its onboard PCIe switch allows it to connect multiple NVMe drives without requiring motherboard PCIe bifurcation support. This is a useful feature when adding NVMe storage to a compatible workstation or desktop that has an available expansion slot but limited onboard M.2 connections.
Supported storage configurations include RAID 0, RAID 1, RAID 10, and individual drives. The appropriate configuration depends on the number of installed SSDs and the intended balance of usable capacity, performance, and redundancy. Actual transfer speeds depend on the drives, PCIe bandwidth available from the host system, storage configuration, and workload.

Before purchasing, please confirm that your system has suitable PCIe slot clearance, available lanes, and compatible operating-system drivers. A physically x16 slot may provide fewer electrical lanes, which can limit available bandwidth. Operating-system support should be checked for the specific version you intend to use.
The four-drive specification describes the controller’s capacity. NO SSDs are included in this sale.
