Important: this is a U.3 (SFF-TA-1001) NVMe drive. It looks like a 2.5-inch SATA SSD and it is not one. It works in U.3 and U.2 NVMe backplanes and adapters (ours ran in a U.2 backplane); it will not work on a SATA port. Please confirm your system supports U.2/U.3 NVMe before buying.
Samsung PM1733 1.92TB, PCIe Gen4 x4 enterprise NVMe, rated 7,000 MB/s read and 2,400 MB/s write, 1 drive write per day, power-loss protection, 7mm 2.5-inch. HPE-branded (HPE P36976-002, Samsung model MZXLR1T9HBJR-000H3 / MZ-XLR1T90), firmware MPK7625Q, 512-byte sector format. Gen4 enterprise storage at the price the Gen3 drives were going for a year ago.
These are barely broken in. Bought as new bulk stock in early 2024 and run as a RAID10 in our own storage server. Before our test, the most-used drive had written under 100 GB.

Every drive: SMART PASSED, 0% used, 100% available spare, 0 media and data integrity errors, 0 error-log entries, 0 critical warnings, about 2.7 TB written lifetime (2.6 TB of that is our burn-in). Rated endurance is 3.5 PB, so these are under 0.1% through their life.
Burn-in, not just a SMART read: full-capacity sequential write with CRC32C read-back verification, then 30 minutes of 70/30 random 4K at queue depth 256, on a Supermicro H12SSL-NT over a Gen4 link. All eight passed with zero errors. Measured 2.51-2.58 GB/s sequential write, 4.09-4.41 GB/s sequential read with verify, about 220k read / 93k write IOPS mixed, peak temperature 44C. The unsafe-shutdown counter reads 4 to 7 per drive: host power events on the old server, not drive faults. The drives have power-loss protection and logged no errors from any of them.
Securely erased with NVMe Format (user data erase) after testing, zero read-back verified. Sold as tested working pulls. No-returns listing; Money Back Guarantee still applies to items not as described.
