Shop Store About Us Reviews HPE Aruba AP-203RP JY722A Remote AP 802.11ac 2x2 Dual-Band PoE Out White New A Closer Look
The HPE Aruba AP-203RP JY722A is a flex-radio unified remote access point built to extend a secure corporate network to home offices, small branch sites, and teleworkers without requiring local IT staff or complex configuration at the remote location. This US regulatory domain model supports 802.11ac with 2x2 MIMO across two internal antennas, delivering up to 867 Mbps on the 5GHz band and up to 400 Mbps on the 2.4GHz band, and the flex-radio design can be software configured to run as a dual-radio 1x1 device or a single-radio 2x2 device depending on the deployment. Finished in white with a compact desktop or wall mountable housing measuring about 155 by 95 by 50 millimeters and weighing roughly 320 grams, the unit sits neatly on a desk or shelf beside a home router or modem. Wired connectivity includes one Gigabit Ethernet uplink port plus two local Gigabit Ethernet ports, one of which supplies power over Ethernet to an attached device such as a desk phone, along with a USB port for cellular modem backup. When connected to the internet, the AP-203RP establishes an encrypted IPsec tunnel back to an Aruba Mobility Controller in the data center, giving remote users the same SSIDs, role based access policies, and application prioritization they would have at headquarters. Maximum power draw is about 7.5 watts, and features such as ClientMatch and AppRF help keep business applications responsive. Power and status LEDs simplify setup, and an optional AC power adapter lets the unit run anywhere a nearby outlet is available.
