So this is why I chose to install windows 10 32 bit so that it would run much efficiently while requiring much less memory resources. This is a great little laptop to take on trips. Laptop is highly functional and works great! Battery is very strong and tested at 100% charging capacity, a typical battery charge lasts up to 5 hours or more. Keyboard, touch pad and palmrest are all in good cosmetic condition showing signs of normal to moderate use and wear. There is one key on the keyboard that does not function and that is the right arrow key at the bottom right. Complete system with the original charger. Laptop is not cosmetically perfect in every single way and does have some noticeable cosmetic defects as well as some superficial imperfections etc. Please view the attached images with the red circle highlights to see the imperfections. The top lid cover panel has a small chunk of the plastic missing, see images. There are 2 working USB ports. There is a 3rd USB port which is permanently disabled and has some very minor damage to the plastic surrounding that port, see image with red circle highlight surrounding usb port. Finally, one of the plastic LCD panel hinge covers is missing and the hinge and video cable is exposed, see image with red circle highlight of LCD missing hinge cover.
A few little dings and imperfections but she is highly functional in working condition with fresh windows 10. Convenient size fits in to a small purse or sack. Think of it as a \"beater laptop\" and remember.... It\'s a HP so it will more than likely just keep on working and stand the test of time. Can\'t beat the price that\'s for sure. Personally, I like electronics and gadgets that are noticeably imperfect in some ways but they still work great. Am I the only one who is weird in this way? I have a massive amount of experience spanning decades, and my methodology is solid and time proven. This is a very nice laptop and it will serve you well if you keep the operating system clean, and you leave the configuration just the way that I have set it up. Do not alter the configuration, or download any free security software, free anti-virus software, free PC tools, free performance enhancing tools, driver updaters or any other free piece of internet software that promises to do wonderful things for your computer. All of these programs are malware, and they will logically destroy your hard drive and your operating system, rendering your computer useless. Why do you think that they give it to you for free? Once you download their software, complete remote access and control of your computer and all of it\'s files may be possible. Don\'t fall prey to it! This laptop has the latest version of Windows Defender which runs and updates silently in the background, and recently received great reviews. If you listen to my advice, Windows Defender will be all that you will need in the way of virus protection.
Do not believe all of the hype that may contradict what I am saying here. The information that I am sharing with you does not reflect the opinions of main stream society. Any and all free PC security and maintenance software is Destructive Malware. You do not need any other virus protection other than Windows Defender, if you simply do not download any free internet software designed to perform any kind of maintenance or preventative maintenance on your computer. Don\'t fall for it, Don\'t do it! The next thing that I will share with you is very important. Do not converse with anybody over the telephone or by email who claims to be with Microsoft Tech Support. These people are scammers who install ransom ware on your computer disguised as a free security scan that they perform on your computer remotely. Just so you know, Microsoft does not provide tech support to the home computer user. The only support that Microsoft provides for you is in the form of remote automated servers that allow for operating system activation, and automatic updates. There is no such thing as \"Microsoft Tech Support\", it does not exist. I strongly suggest that you leave this laptop just exactly the way that it is, and steer away from the popular main stream \"name brand\" anti-virus software programs. Virtually all of these programs are worse than malware itself. If you refrain from downloading any garbage software this baby will run like a finely tuned clock for a very long time. This laptop is set up in such a way as to put you below the radar of hackers, while surfing the internet. Settings for tracking and on board program notifications have been minimized and silenced. I know that you will absolutely love this laptop and the way that I have set her up. The health of your hard drive and your operating system is entirely up to you and is fully your responsibility. Keep it clean and it will serve you well.
This just may be the cleanest Windows operating system configuration that you have ever experienced. Please take my advice and leave her just exactly the way that she is. And most of all.....Enjoy!
