Item Description

Travel straight back to the year 2000 and the dawn of the new millennium with the holy grail of vintage PC battlestations: a 100% complete, original, authentic Gateway Select Athlon Desktop Setup!

Finding a turn-of-the-millennium PC is rare—finding a complete matching Gateway factory ecosystem including the original tower, matching EV700 CRT monitor, multimedia keyboard, mouse, Cambridge SoundWorks speakers, and factory cables is almost unheard of! Finished in Gateway's iconic two-tone warm-gray and textured charcoal "cow spot" aesthetic with curved front bezel and green ring power switch, this is the definitive centerpiece for any serious retro gaming setup.

Powered by a legendary Slot A / Socket A AMD Athlon processor, internal CD-RW drive, 3.5" 1.44MB floppy drive, and running an authentic, clean factory installation of Microsoft Windows Millennium Edition (Windows ME) with all period-correct Gateway device drivers fully configured, this system delivers instant out-of-the-box nostalgia!

For retro PC gamers, vintage tech collectors, and archivists, an authentic bare-metal Windows 9x/ME machine is essential. It provides native, zero-latency 4:3 CRT immersion and native hardware compatibility for titles that crash or refuse to launch on modern OS environments. It glides through era-defining classics like Diablo II, Deus Ex, Half-Life, Unreal Tournament (1999), Quake III Arena, Age of Empires II, RollerCoaster Tycoon, Command & Conquer: Tiberian Sun, StarCraft, The Sims, and Grim Fandango.

The plastics across the tower, CRT housing, keyboard, and speakers have retained their original color remarkably well with only very minor, uniform vintage warmth/patina consistent with authentic 2000-era hardware. No cracked plastic, broken drive doors, or damaged frame corners. CRT tube glass is clean and free of burns or deep scratches.
