What is FujiNet?
FujiNet is a multi-peripheral emulatorand WiFi network device for vintage computers. The first completed hardware wasfor Atari 8-Bit computers and development has begun for many other systems with thegoal of supporting as many as possible. What sets FujiNet apart from other WiFidevices is the new Network Device (the N device, or NDEV). The N device allowsvintage computers that do not have enough processing power to handle TCP/IPconnections talk to the modern internet over WiFi. Connecting a Vintage computer over the internet, loading disk images and programs without the need of a real floppy or Cassette drive are just part of the fun this device can bring.
The CoCoFuji is part of the FujiNet family and is designed to work withTandy Color Computer models 1, 2, and 3. Works with DRAGON 32/64 Computersystem as well. This FujiNet plugs into the CoCo’scartridge port and uses a pigtail to connect to the serial port. Serial Cable is intentionally long enough to extend to the serial port from the Tandy MultiPal expansion units farthest slot (22 inches).See photos.

CoCo 1 or 2 needs to have at least 32K of RAM and ExtendedDisk BASIC.
As ofJanuary 2025, the Dragon 32/64 computers are supported. However, a differentcable is required.
TheFujiNet for CoCo cartridges has the Activityand WiFi LEDs, buttons, and DIP switch settings listed below.
Withthis revision of the Tandy Coco Fujinet they have done away with the tapecircuit and moved to a ROM for bootstrapping HDB-DOS, similar to a “minimal”Rev00 build and bootstrapping via a CocoSDC or other ROM cart. Since it is nowa cartridge format, you no longer need to power the ESP32 via USB, and insteadit will normally take 5V from the cartridge port. There is a diode so if you dowant to power by USB for debug logging or other reasons it is safe to do sowithout backfeeding into the Coco.
I buildthe CoCoFuji using the ESP32-DEVKITC-VIE and an external antenna (The antennais external to the PCB, but still fits within the cartridge!!)
About Firmware and ROM
The ESP32 runs FujiNet Firmware. In addition, a ROM provides HDB-DOSDrivewire 3 FIRMWARE.
