7219 Oil Pressure Adapter:

Fits for Generation III V8 engines.

Fits for GM 4.8L 5.3L 5.7L 6.0L engines 1996-2006

A convenient solution to the problem of checking oil pressure for GM Gen 3 V8 engines.

This tool installs in place of the oil filter, providing ports to attach an oil pressure tester gauge to in lieu of trying to access oil pressure through the sending unit port that has a non standard thread.

EN-47971 Oil Pressure Adapter:

Fits for Generation 4 & 5 V8 engines for GM/General Motors.

Fits for Chevy Camaro / Malibu / ATS / 2006-later Corvette / XLR-V / STS-V / Gen IV / Gen V V8 / LGE Engines.

If you're working on a Generation 3 engine you'll need the other one #7219/J-42907 in this kit instead.

The oiling system on the small-block V8 engines now requires the use of a unique oil filter.

EN-47971 is installed in place of the spin-on oil filter, and allows existing oil pressure gauge J-21867 or J-21867-A to be attached for engine oil system diagnosis.

J-45299 Engine Pre-luber can also be attached to pre-lubricate the engine prior to starting a replacement engine.
