LISTED AS PARTS/REPAIR due to GRAPHICS GLITCH (see below)/dead battery/lower wattage AC adapter.
Used for web browsing/videos/watching F1 races. Includes: Laptop, battery (DOES NOT HOLD CHARGE - placeholder only), 130 watt power adapter (NOT CORRECT ADAPTER FOR UNIT ~ will operate unit but not at full performance), Windows 7 Pro COA. NOTHING ELSE INCLUDED. Ubuntu installed (one round of updates applied).NO supervisor password/Computrace NOT activated. Please see below for detailed condition/hardware checks performed.Don't assume something works if it wasn't tested!
NOTES:
1. Overall unit is in good condition for its age. Case shows scuffs/scratches on all surfaces. Ding rear corner (see photo).
2. Missing top part of three bottom pads (see photo).3. Screen is in good usable condition with light wear and a few dead pixels.4. Lid latch sometimes needs to be pushed in before getting lid to lock in place.5. Keyboard/touchpad/point stick/keyboard light all work.6. Noticed a graphics glitch as follows. When accessing Bluetooth settings the setting box shrunk horizontally and became somewhat distorted (could still read if one tried). When I had Fedora KDE Plasma installed the text/graphics around the log in box were garbled (could not read). I had used the unit prior (multiple years ago) with Windows 10 Pro without issue. HOWEVER unit was stored since then. ASSUME THERE IS A PROBLEM WITH THE GRAPHICS CARD AND PLAN ACCORDINGLY.7. WiFi/ethernet/Bluetooth work ~ checked by playing music video. BLUETOOTH WORKS WITH UBUNTU - could NOT get to work with Windows 10 Pro or Fedora KDE Plasma.8. Headphone jack/speakers work - checked by playing music.9. Camera works.10. USB ports work - checked with small file transfer. NO OTHER PORTS CHECKED.11. DVD player works - tested by playing DVD movie.
12. Battery DOES NOT HOLD A CHARGE. You will need to replace if you want to run the unit on battery power.13. AC ADAPTER is a 130 watt unit. It is not the proper model/wattage for the M6500. You will get a screen warning when booting (see photo). Recommended you get the proper unit for full system performance. ALSO MISSING STRAP TO HOLD CORDS.
14. 1 250GB Samsung SSD installed (870 EVO) - passed basic quick test. Missing part of hard drive cage/screws (see photo).15. Holds bios date/time when stored.16. Passed quick diagnostic tests except indicates 1394 cable missing (see photos). Fans came on and turned freely.
