Dell LATITUDE E6440 14" Laptop i7-4610M @ 3.0GHz--16GB/256GB+1tb SDXC Card/Win11 Pro 26H2+ MS Office Pro Plus 2021 License (notOffice 365) + MORE!

REFERENCE LAPTOP DELL E6440-2

This is a DELL LATITUDE E6440 Intel Core i7 processorlaptop that has been cleaned and upgraded to a nice clean-install Windows11 Pro 26H2 (activated – digital license) machine ready for use as a greatlightweight Internet browsing, e-mail, and general-purpose laptop though it wasprimarily designed to be a business laptop. The E6440 basically differsfrom the E6430 with a bit more overall performance and more USB 3.0 portsinstead of USB 2.0 ports. As this isand older (circa 2014) model, but runs Windows 11 Pro pretty much flawlesslyand it’s very snappy! This is your chance to get a low-cost but capableWindows 11 Pro laptop at a fraction of the cost of a new expensive Windows 11laptop. I’ve also updated this laptop to the latest (and final)BIOS version. It includes a battery in good to excellent workingcondition (this one is 79% health), a new CMOS battery (if needed), a **BRANDNEW** Patriot P220 256gb SSD (instead of an OEM hard drive), a 1tb SDXC cardfor extra storage for a total of 1.25tb of storage! (**note that the price ofSATA drives has nearly *TRIPLED* in the past 3 months!**) either a 65w or 90wAC power adapter, a like-new wireless Bluetooth mouse, and a laptop bag(**NOTE: AC adapter, BT mouse, andlaptop bag may not be the same ones shown in the listing picture as they arejust representative**). ***This laptopalso includes a lifetime license of Microsoft Office Pro Plus 2021 (NOT cheaperOffice 365)*** -- not something you see too often on E-bay laptop listings!;)

**This one has AMD Radeon 8690M (2gb DDR5) discrete graphics inaddition to the standard Intel HD 4600 integrated graphics so it has a bit morescreen power and HDR support**

**Have you also noticed how newer laptop lack valuableports just to streamline them and cut costs?****Of course, they don’t have CD/DVD drives either!** WELL…NOT A PROBLEM FOR THESE E64XX SERIESLAPTOPS! The E64XX series also has someports like eSATA ports that are great for older hardware connections. Most of these E64XX models also have an ExpressCardslot for various ExpressCards. **If so Iam including in this listing a USB 3.0 x 2 Express Card which and adds two moreUSB 3.0 ports to this laptop!!** Otherexamples of available ExpressCards are eSATA cards, FireWire Cards, modemcards, SmartCard reader cards, serial port cards, and parallel port cards. This particular E6440 laptop DOES have aBUILT-IN WEBCAM unlike the E6440s models which do not.Thisparticular version of the E6440 DOES NOT have a fingerprint reader/card readerlike several of my other E6440 listings.

The big deal with the E64XX models and one of the nicestfeatures of this E6440 model is that the hard drive bay caddy is easilyaccessible & removable (2 screws) so that you can have several differentstorage drives with different operating systems on them (e.g., Win 10, Win 8,Win 7, Ubuntu Linux, etc. – **the E64XX models are all native all of theseoperating systems**) and just swap out the drives to run a different operatingsystem! From experience, most users will find this much easier (andsafer) than attempting to set up multi-boot systems. Also, this laptop loves most flavors of Linuxoperating systems and runs them speedily as well. ***This very capable machine (along with theE6340s and E6340) is IDEAL for those users who enjoy switching to vintage orother operating systems without the nuisance of attempting to deploy multi-bootdrives!*** Actually, this E6440 cameinstalled/licensed with Win 7 Pro and the license for that is inside thebattery compartment. This is also agreat machine for Zorin 18 and Mint 22 which is also an Ubuntu Linux based OS. **I would suggest buying extra plastic drivecaddies on E-bay – one for each drive.Note that the Dell part# for the E6440 caddy is CYP84 (it is NOT thesame as the E6340 caddy or E6430s caddy – they are NOT interchangeable)**

***I have sold 22+ of the personally refurbished similar E6430slaptops previously on E-Bay but the difference is that I am now selling mypersonal E66XX laptops simply because I have a LOT of them! (I test a lot ofsoftware for a lot of companies)***

This machine is reasonably clean with minimal wear andsurface scratches and fully functional. The matte screen is inexcellent condition with nothing to deter the resolution.

Known cosmetic defects: some minorscratches/scuffs on outer case, some normal wear on the keyboard and touchpad– However, there may be minor cosmetic differences that do not affectfunctionality in any way. **This one is otherwise mostly pristine!(please see video and pics)** **PLEASENOTE: the one caveat with almost all ofthese E64XX laptops is that they have a “rubberized” coating on the palmrestwhich can tend to make them feel tacky at times – this can be remedied bycleaning as needed with a 70% alcohol wipe as needed. I know some owners have even removed therubberized coating using 99% isopropyl alcohol.** Most users just tend to overlook this but Iam just making you aware.

I take personal pride in repurposing these older machinesthat still have plenty of life in them when not pushed beyond their reasonablelimits. If you need a very capable, lower-cost snappy extra/spare laptopfor general use with significant storage capabilities and a smaller than15" screen this is a laptop for you!If you're looking for a [more expensive] gaming laptop, this laptop isNOT for you! If you can find a betterLatitude E6440 with everything I've included for a better price than I offer, please buy it instead! ;) ***PLEASEtake the time to read the details in this listing carefully as you can see Iput a lot of time & effort into creating very detailed listings for mypotential buyer's convenience*****Please also see pics of system specs for this laptop as well as thepic of all Device Manager drivers properly installed**

I sell these machines as projects to repurpose them and onlymake a little profit to cover the replacement parts and time spent – I am on amission to keep these otherwise very capable machines out of landfills ande-waste piles. If not using a Bluetooth mouse (to save USB ports) Isuggest buying a wireless USB mouse with a dongle for this laptop which worksflawlessly with this laptop as a plug-n-play device. Note that althoughthis laptop has Bluetooth 4.0, not all latest and greatest Bluetooth devices maywork well with it. Please ask any and all questions BEFORE purchasingand thanks for looking!

NOTE: Because this is an electronic device and Ihave no control over how the buyer uses it after received, I CANNOT acceptreturns unless the machine arrives physically damaged as evidenced by shipperhandling. This laptop is otherwise guaranteed to work as described. These are not "buy and try" laptops as it would not be feasible forme to sell them otherwise. Thank you for your understanding!
