Custom PC, RX 5700 8gb, Intel Xeon E5-2699 V3, 32GB RAM, 512gb Nvme 700w Psu
Price: US $449.00

Specs:

CPU: Intel Xeon E5-2699 V3 18 cores Base frequency of 2.3 GHZ up to 3.60 Max Turbo Frequency (2.7 GHZ if ALL cores are being used) plus hyper threading. Max memory speed is 2133 Mhz

CPU Cooler: Noctua NH-U9DX i4, Premium CPU Cooler for Intel Xeon LGA20xx + Low Noise fan adapters already installed

  • SPECIAL NOTE: The cooler is missing one of the plastic toothed washers which doesn't affect the use on this particular motherboard BUT this may be a inconvenience if you're ever thinking of switching it out to a different x99 motherboard and you want to use this cooler
  • AMD GPUs usually run a bit hotter than their green team competitors, so I was averaging 80c while running stress tests and that's after the new Arctic MX-6 thermal paste & thermal pads on the chips

RAM: 2 sticks of 16GB ECC DDR4 RAM at 2133mhz

GPU: *AMD Radeon RX 5700 8GB*

  • SPECIAL NOTE: While attempting to remove heatsink and shield to replace thermal paste & pads, one of the screws was stripped and a piece of the shield broke off (see red tape in one of the pictures). In spite of this, after replacing the thermal paste and thermal pads on the memory chips and VRM & other components, the unit passed several stress tests including a score of 98.8% via Time Spy Extreme Stress Test

PSU: 80+ White Certified Thermaltake 700W

Storage:

  • Main: NVME M.2 512GB Toshiba
  • Secondary: M.2 SSD 256GB Micron (note, the slot that this is in can only take in SATA m.2 ssd type units, NOT NVME)
  • Primary HDD: 1TB 3.5 Form factor Hard Drive at 7200 RPM
  • Secondary HDD: SSHD 500GB Toshiba 2.5 Form Factor

Additional info

  • This computer is my very first attempt at building an actual custom computer rather than repurposing workstations or office PCs. Cable management isn't the best, especially with the PSU used inside a mini tower PC case
  • The motherboard doesn't have TPM 2.0 so this makes the motherboard, CPU, CPU cooler and RAM (being ECC server ram) NOT FUTUREPROOF for Windows 11 installation. You could bypass the TPM check if you wish to install Windows 11 that way BUT since that's a stretch, Windows 10 is installed by default.
  • While this unit is more than capable for gaming at 1080p / 1440p at high to medium settings for titles like Helldivers 2, the CPU in use is primarily intended for workstations so don't expect 140+ FPS on games like Fortnite at Epic settings at 1440p unless you're willing to settle for Pro mode graphics with all settings but the view distance set to low/medium
  • Again, the CPU in use is primarily intended for workstations so think heavy video editing, Photoshop Pro, AutoCad, Maya, Blender 3d etc. more so than gaming, although it can still run games like Helldivers 2 or Starfield at or over 60 FPS at 1080p on medium/high settings; sometimes even with half of the cores since such titles would only use up 6 or 8 cores (especially Fortnite - personal experience on a Dell T5810 with the same processor needed only around 80 watts on the CPU paired with an equal GPU at 1080p high settings yielding over 80 FPS)
  • Extra parts, screws, power cables etc included

***KEYBOARD NOT INCLUDED***

***MOUSE NOT INCLUDED***

***MONITOR NOT INCLUDED***

  • Will come with PC, two Display Port Cables, one HDMI, one 25ft Cat 6 cable, one power cable, additional screws to mount additional HDDs/SSDs if desired and all of the additional brackets & etc that originally came with the Noctua CPU fan.
