This is the hard-to-find direction: HDMI male IN to USB-C female OUT. It lets you drive a USB-C-only monitor from a device that only has HDMI output - gaming PCs, consoles, docks, KVM switches, media players.
Commonly used to connect HDMI sources to USB-C displays like the LG UltraFine range, portable USB-C monitors, and Apple displays. Note for Apple Studio Display owners: it works, but the display runs at up to 4K rather than its native 5K (the adapter chipset maxes out at 4096px wide), and audio/USB features of the display won't pass through. Perfect for putting a console or PC on a USB-C monitor; just know the limits on 5K panels.
Active converter chipset (DisplayPort Alt Mode output), no drivers needed, powered by the display or a supplementary USB-C source. Supports up to 4096x2160 @ 60Hz.
