Heads-up: This is a 24V DC switch with a terminal-block input — there is no AC power brick and none is included. On the bench it was powered from a DC supply, which is what the test leads in the photos are. You will need a 24V DC source. The DIN rail clip is on the unit; the rail itself is not included.
Functional: Tested and powers on properly. Port and status LEDs come up as expected on boot.
Why This One and Not a Desktop SwitchThe 2955 is the hardened member of the Catalyst family, built for cabinets, plant floors, roadside enclosures and traffic control rather than a rack. It is fanless, runs from −40°C to +60°C, mounts on DIN rail, takes 24V DC on a screw terminal block, and is UL listed as Industrial Control Equipment for Use in Hazardous Locations, Class I Division 2, Groups A B C D. If you need a managed Cisco switch somewhere a normal one would not survive — or would not be permitted — this is the part.Tested & Verified
