The 23500 is Check Point's 2U data-center security appliance for large enterprise networks: five I/O expansion slots, redundant hot-swap power supplies, 2x 1TB RAID1 disk array, redundant fans, and Lights-Out Management (LOM). This is the High Performance Package (HPP) build — extended memory and the optimized platform configuration. Per Check Point's datasheet it delivers 2.9 Gbps real-world threat prevention throughput with the full NGTP blade set (firewall, IPS, application control, anti-bot, antivirus, URL filtering).
As configured (see photos): multiple 10GbE SFP+ and 1GbE copper interface cards installed across the front slots, LCD status panel, plus onboard MGMT, SYNC, LOM and console ports and USB.
