Vintage Apple IIe computer being sold for parts or repair.
The computer was tested and isNOT WORKING. On initial testing, the internal power indicator illuminated and the composite video output reacted when the computer was switched on, but the computer producedno usable video and no startup beep.
All expansion cards were removed during troubleshooting and the computer was tested again with the same result: no video and no beep. This suggests the original fault was not caused simply by one of the expansion cards, but the cards themselves haveNOT been independently tested and are not guaranteed working.
During subsequent power-supply testing, the internal power supply emitted smoke. Power was immediately disconnected and the computer has not been powered on since. The power supply should be considered failed/unsafe andSHOULD NOT BE POWERED AGAIN without inspection or repair.
