Adlib Clone ISA Sound Card Fully Assembled & Tested
Price: US $59.95
This is a high quality reproduction of the classic Adlib 8-bit sound card. Thanks to Monotech and TubeTime for this excellent project. All of the parts are brand new, except for the YM3812 OPL2 chip & YM3014B DAC which are no longer produced. We have used sockets for all of the IC's, and the board is ENIG (Gold Plated). We have also included a reproduction copy of the Juke Box software that originally came with the card. This is on a 3.5" 1.44mb floppy disk. Some things to note before making a purchase:
This card is speed sensitive, so your mileage may vary using this in a system faster than a 486. My experience using this with a Pentium 166 MMX, I had to disable the CPU cache in the BIOS.
This card does requires the -5v rail, there are many solutions for this if you are using an ATX power supply for your system (Voltage Blaster).
This card only provides FM synthesis only (mostly music), it will not playback wav, digital files or game sound effects like a sound blaster card.
This card is hard coded to port 0x388, as was the original card. The headers on the board for changing the port are non-functional and therefore not installed.
