What I tested:
I wiped the drive and did a clean install of Windows 11 on charger power. Setup finished, and I logged in.
Windows Hello face login set up and worked, so the face recognition camera works.
I then unplugged the charger. The laptop shut off right away, and after that Windows would no longer start. Setting VMD back to Disabled in the BIOS did not fix it.
The drive is now wiped. No operating system is installed.
Known issues:
The battery is dead. The laptop shuts off the moment the USB-C charger is unplugged, even in the BIOS, although the BIOS shows 70 percent. The replacement battery is ASUS C41N1904.
Windows does not start (see above). It boots to the BIOS only.
The fan makes noise.
Not included: power adapter or USB-C cable. Laptop only.
Cosmetic: normal wear, including light marks on the lid and small scuffs along the lid edges. See photos.
