- If motherboard supports x8x8 bifurcation: pair with F37B or F37C cable to realize 1-to-2.
- If motherboard supports x4x4x4x4 bifurcation: pair with MCIO 1-to-2 cable to realize 1-to-4.
Why only one drive is detected after enabling bifurcation in BIOS?
- Confirm your PCIe bifurcation setting is x4x4x4x4. If set to x8x8 or x8x4x4, only one drive will be recognized.
- Verify the PCIe slot hosting this adapter supports full x16 bandwidth. Please refer to your motherboard manual for details.
How to check if my motherboard supports PCIe Bifurcation?
Check your motherboard user manual. Look for terms such as PCIe Bandwidth Split or Bifurcation option in BIOS. If no such option exists, bifurcation is not supported.
